Arbegnoch Ginbot 7 rebel forces commander who happened to lead battle against TPLF forces yesterday in Humera area of Godnder committed suicide after his forces were encircled by regime forces following hours of fierce.
Ethiopian Satellite Television identified the martyr as Major Mesafint Tigabu. He was also known as Gebriye -one of the most loyal and brave commanders of Emperor Tewodros II of Ethiopia.
The rebel group has been reorganizing itself to launch major offensive in pursuit of creating fertile ground to bring about democratic change in Ethiopia.
The commander is seen in the video above during an interview with Ethiopian Satellite Television some time back.
