In 2016, Mackonen Michael appeared at the US Library Of Congress to discuss his 47 minutes documentary entitled “Heaven and Earth; Church education and Monastic Culture in Ethiopia”
He has two other documentaries; “Ethiopian Thinking” a 22 minutes documentary on Ethiopian philosophy and “Art Education in Ethiopia” from the perspective of an Autobiography of Ale Felege Selam , a remarkably notable Ethiopian who is the pioneer of modern art school in Ethiopia while emphasizing on Ethiopian art.
